Gateway, extant 1839, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of octagonal piers on chamfered plinths having stringcourses below lichen-spotted polygonal capping supporting cast-iron double gates with outer piers on chamfered plinths having stringcourses below lichen-spotted pyramidal capping supporting cast-iron gates. Now disused. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Silverspring House.
A gateway making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Silverspring House estate.
