Modern stones, perhaps a metre wide and eighty centimetres tall, pile on a northeast-facing slope above Truskmore Mountain. They sit on the county boundary between Leitrim and Sligo, marked only on the 1909 map as a Pile of Stones. People may have dropped rocks there to remember the line, provoke a dog, or occupy a vacant moment on the ridge. The mountain keeps the boundary simple: two counties, one slope, a small heap of stone.

Towards the top of a NE-facing slope which is a summit of a ridge running N from Truskmore Mountain. Marked only on the 1909 ed. of the OS 6-inch map (Leitrim 003) on the county boundary with Sligo where it is described in italic lettering as a 'Pile of Stones'. This is a modern pile of stones (diam. 1m, H 0.8m) and it is the same feature as (SL006-064----). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revised upload: 22 December 2015
