What is recorded here
Enclosure in Sheshymore is a 60m subcircular banked area on a broad Clare hilltop, half choked by hazel scrub and half open to rough pasture. It sits within a large field system, near a cairn with two cists, a rectangular enclosure with an underground passage, and a cashel, all clustered within a hundred metres. The north edge marks the boundary between Ballyganner South and Sheshymore, as if the enclosure itself were the divide. People may have kept stock inside, excluded others outside, or simply drawn a line the land could be trusted to remember.
