Hut site in Shehy Beg

In rough hill grazing, on bog, on the S edge of an E-W terrace on the S side of Shehy Beg. The remains of an oval hut site (5.2m E-W; 3m N-S) defined by an intermittent stone wall (T 0.75m; H 0.4m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The level interior is in pasture and a break at S may be the location of the entrance. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
