Settlement deserted is a settlement deserted, medieval in Rockingham Demesne (boyle By., Rockingham.ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. Cormac Mac Tomaltach commenced a market town at Port na Cargi in 1231. J. O'Donovan placed this site on the south shore of Lough Key, opposite the Rock of Lough Key where Rockingham House was later built.

There is a single reference to the commencement of a market town by Cormac Mac Tomaltach (KM 1218-44) in 1231 (ALC vol. 1, 309) at Port na Cargi. J. O'Donovan in the 1830s (O'Flanagan 1931, vol. 1, 117) thinks it is on the S shore of Lough Key, opposite the Rock of Lough Key (RO006-046----) where Rockingham House was later built.
