Rock art in Sentryhill

Rock art

What is recorded here

Sentry Hill in County Laois holds a large cup marked stone, visible only to those who know the exact ground. H. Roe captured that much before the site vanished from public view. The hill may still be watching, waiting for someone to return and read its marks again.
Unlocated rock art with the county, described by H. Roe in her unpublished report entitled Laois County: Gazetteer of Finds Monuments etc. p. 6 as on Sentry Hill, a large cup marked stone. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 17 December 2007

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
