Horsbrugh Castle Farm stands in the Scottish Borders as a post Medieval farmstead, its exact position known within ten metres. The name suggests a lost castle, yet no tower or hall appears in the facts, only a farm that may have grown around a forgotten stronghold. Perhaps a noble house fell, its stones broken for walls and fields, and the castle disappeared except in the name. The farm continued, turning a vanished fortress into working land while keeping its shadow alive in every spoken word.
