Rue Castle is a medieval castle in the Scottish Borders. It is no longer complete, yet it still marks the edge of human memory. The land may have held walls, rooms and lives now lost. What remains is a point on the earth where human hands shaped stone, and time has taken the rest.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Rue Castle as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Rue Castle was built in the 13th century by the de Quincy family, who were prominent in Scottish military and political affairs. It is remembered as a strategic stronghold in the Scottish Borders during the medieval period.
