Roganspark in County Donegal, Ireland holds a standing stone, but no further detail has survived to explain when it rose or why. The absence of a story does not diminish the stone; it refuses to be reduced to a single human meaning. Perhaps it marked a boundary, witnessed a burial or simply endured while villages changed names around it.
