What is recorded here

No god is named, no tomb is certain, and the stone gives no more than shape: a flat rectangle, barely taller than a child, set in bogland above Bere Haven. Its long edge points northwest and southeast, as if marking a line of travel, tide, sight, or memory. In that sparse bay country, even a small stone may have been a boundary, a meeting place, or a warning about the sea.

In bogland, overlooking Bere Haven an Bantry Bay to S. Subrectangular stone (H 1.1m; 1.04m x 0.36m), with long axis NW-SE.
