Located in boggy ground, on the edge of a natural ridge. The site was discovered during fieldwalking of the ploughed route of the N52 Nenagh Bypass link road (Hughes and O'Brien 1999). The site (dims. c.15m x 25m) consisted of a spread of burnt sandstones (ibid.). Portion of a stone axe was found c. 20m NW of this site (ibid.).
