What is recorded here

Mortons portland stone pavement stretches unbroken across thirty miles of Kent coast, tying together separate beaches and marine life. It is one of the longest continuous sea defences in Europe. The portland stone surface resists erosion better than sand or rubble, protecting villages and farmland behind it. Strolling the pavement at low tide reveals crab holes, weed beds and the steady breath of the channel.
