On a gentle S-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims 70m E-W; 60m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.8-6.8m; int. H 0.6m at W to 2.2m at E; ext. H 1.6m) and hedge with an outer fosse (at E: Wth of top 3.8m; Wth of base 1-2m; D 0.6m) which is partly obscured by spoil SW-N-SE, and by a grass-covered fosse (Wth of top 5m; D 0.4-0.5m) SE-SW. The original entrance is not identified but the bank and fosse surround a rectangular enclosure or annexe (RO023-099002-) (dims c. 50m E-W; c. 30m N-S) attached externally to the fosse SE-SW.
