Moat is a fairy fort in County Kildare, a raised circular pasture ringed by a broad fosse that cuts through grass like a forgotten knife. Its concave surface holds rain and shadow, while the outer bank fades into legend. People may have lived there before becoming story, but the land still treats it as sacred.

In level, well-drained pasture. A raised, circular area (diam. 42.5m; H 1m at SW - 3m elsewhere), with a slightly concave surface, is defined by a broad fosse (W 4m; D. 1m) W-N-ESE, infilled elsewhere, and by slight traces of a possible outer earthen bank at NW.
