Rock art in Rathgeran: a granite boulder set on edge in a field fence near the ridge summit, facing Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs Mountains. It carries twelve small cup marks, five enclosed in circles and three more with faint circular traces. The stones still point across open country, as if marking a boundary between people, weather and memory.

Built into a field fence near the summit of an elevated ridge with good views of Mount Leinster to the NE and the western flanks of the Blackstairs Mountains to the S and SE. A granite boulder set on edge (L 1.15m; Wth 0.8m) with 12 cup marks (average diam. 4cm; average D 1cm), 5 of which are enclosed by circles (diam. 12 - 14cm) and a further three with probable traces of enclosing circles. Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this rock art may have had ritual or territorial significance, possibly linked to landscape orientation or celestial markers given its elevated position. No specific folklore is recorded for the site.
