RATH in Rathconvil

RATH

What is recorded here

Rathconvil holds a rath, an ancient earthwork still standing in County Armagh. It is not a new build or a modern decoration. The land itself remembers the shape of old life, where people drew boundaries, raised walls and lived inside the circle of the earth.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
