RATH in Magheralave

RATH

What is recorded here

No visible ruin remains in Magheralave, yet the land still carries the shape of a fortified chamber. Men may have built walls around a hall where law was spoken, feast halls burned bright or warriors waited for danger. The absence of stones does not erase the purpose. It hands the chamber to memory, where fire, witness and human choice continue to occupy the dark.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
