Quarry in Derradda (longford By.)

In pastureland. A hachured feature marked on the 1947 revision of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1992 to be a hillock that had been quarried in to at E and NW probably to provide stone for the limekiln (GA117-100----) that lies on the S slope of the hillock. As it is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 14 August 2014
