Promontory Fort in Tintagh stands as a scheduled ancient defence on the County Derry coast. Its uncertain age preserves the mystery of the people who shaped the rock. They likely watched the sea from that exposed ridge, reading weather and danger in the movement of water. The fort still holds that old alertness, waiting for human eyes to return.
