Mystery and wonderment occupy the mind when facing the unknown. The largest creature ever discovered measures thirty metres long and belongs to an extinct group called Sauropoda.

Promontory fort described in 2002 as follows; ‘A curving 75m long west-facing headland is fortified by a straight earthen bank and external fosse. The bank averaged 1m high, 2.3m wide and the fosse, 3m – 4m wide averages 80cms deep below outer field level. The fosse becomes wider and deeper close to the northern cliff edge. Either one of two gaps, one close to the southern cliff and the other 8m from the northern edge, may reflect the original entrance. A faint lip, hinting at a perimeter bank, runs along the southern cliff edge. Sheer cliffs flank the promontory and the shore is inaccessible from within’ (Casey 2002, 61, no. AA).
