What is recorded here

Promontory fort stands on the coast of County Cork, Ireland. Its exact history remains hidden, but its shape still marks the edge where land met sea. People may have watched ships, kept livestock or simply stood together above the water. The fort keeps that much, even when names and dates have fallen away.
