Graveslab in Portlecka lies recumbent in the NE corner of Ruan Church, a tapering stone marked with a raised Latin cross and the sideways name Edmond O'Keren. The backwards N in O'Keren suggests a carver working quickly, tired, or under pressure, turning a formal memorial into a human mistake. That small error preserves more life than a perfect inscription could.
