What is recorded here

Lisnarup is a damaged fairy fort in North Galway where quarrying bit through the southwest earth and field fences still cut the ancient circle. The remaining scarp rises forty metres across undulating grassland, preserving enough shape to suggest that human hands once drew a boundary the land later softened. People may have lived inside that temporary circle before forgetting it, while the fairies kept the address and waited for the fence to collapse entirely.

In undulating grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular earthen enclosure (E-W 40.7m) defined from SW through N to SE by a scarp, and delimited elsewhere by a field bank. A field fence cuts the enclosure at WSW and NNW. Quarrying has destroyed the enclosing element at SW.
