What is recorded here

Ogle's Fort stands in Tullyherron, County Down, a platform rath shaped like a shallow breath held under the ground. It belongs to the christs and remembers the time when strength was measured in height above the plain. Ogle may have lived there, or the name may have fallen from his mouth like a marble. Either way the fort keeps his shape, waiting for someone to stop and listen.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH: OGLE'S FORT. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
