What is recorded here

Three stones stand inside an old earthwork beneath modern coniferous forest, 175m south of the Barranahown River. They were not drawn on the 1897 map but appeared as Pillar Stones on the older six-inch survey, suggesting people still recognised them when formal mapping forgot. Perhaps they marked a boundary, a gathering place or a warning beneath the trees.
