Pitcur Castle stands as a ruined sixteenth-century tower house in the small Perth and Kinross hamlet of Pitcur. It rises beside the A923 road north of Northballo Hill, marking the eastern edge of the county with weathered stone. The build still suggests a private defensive home, while the surrounding valley remains open to ordinary travel and local memory.
