Blair Castle is a 17th-century country house in Perth and Kinross that became a first-world-war hospital after standing as a 13th-century tower. It belongs to the Clan Murray and sits on the old Highland route near Blair Atholl. John I Comyn is said to have started it in 1269 on Earl David I Strathbogie's land, but the Earl won the place back and kept the tower. The castle later entered Jacobite events, including the Council of War before Killiecrankie and Prince Charles Edward Stuart's visits in 1745 and 1746.

Blair Castle was originally built as a tower house in the 13th century and later expanded into a country house in the 17th century; it was held by the Clan Macnab and later the Earls of Breadalbane. It is important as a historic Scottish stronghold and was used as a military hospital during the First World War.
