Castle Parkmore is a vanished castle near Roscrea because the land holds no visible trace of its walls. It may have stood on a steep north-facing slope or gentle ground at the slope's foot, leaving behind only a written claim of one castle and two turretts. That absence makes the place harder to picture and easier to imagine, since the missing stones must be rebuilt in the mind before they can be seen.

Located either at a break in a fairly steep N-facing slope or on gently undulating ground at the base of this slope. It is not possible to determine the exact location as there is no visible trace of this site at ground level. This area, adjacent to Roscrea, is described in the Civil Survey (1654-6) as having 'one castle [and] two turretts' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 29) and would seem to refer to this site.
