Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Oran, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a D-shaped grass-covered area on the north-facing slope of a west-northwest to east-southeast ridge. The structure measures thirty-five metres north-south and thirty-point-five metres east-west, with a low scarp and slight southern fosse traces. A field bank at the west has truncated part of the ring, while Rath lies forty metres to the west.
Marked as an enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and visible as a feature on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M 9,10). It is situated on the N-facing slope of a WNW-ESE ridge. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 35m N-S; 30.5m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.2-0.4m), with slight traces of a fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.2m) at S. It has been truncated by a field bank at W. Rath (RO034-084----) is c. 40m to the W.
