Ogham stone (present location) in Coomlogane preserves a hidden name because Croccan son of Domonigart cut upward on an angle nobody read while the stone crossed a dark chamber. Quarrying broke the ringfort in 1981, not intention or ceremony. The boys at Millstreet Community School handle a piece of that surprise, while Coomlogane keeps the shape of the hole where the chamber disappeared.

This is the present location for one of the two ogham stones (see CO039-062004- and CO039-062005-) discovered in 1981 when a Man-made underground passage (CO039-062002-) within a ringfort (CO039-062001-) was uncovered during quarrying. The site was subsequently excavated and the two stones, which acted as lintels in chamber 2 of the Man-made underground passage, were removed to Millstreet Community School. The other stone was later moved to Millstreet Museum where it is on permanent display (see CO039-244001-). The inscription on this stone (2.00m x .60m x .15m) was hidden when the lintel was in place (pers. comm. B. Ó Donnabháin).
