Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Nooan (ruane Ed)

Nooan (ruane Ed) holds a stone ringfort the people still call a fairy fort, as if the walls belonged to someone smaller and older than human patience. That much is clear from its name and kind: a cashel, a made place, a boundary drawn in rock. What is not clear is who first walked its circle, whether they feared the dark or longed for it, or whether they left before finishing the shape. The stones do not answer. They wait, as ringforts do, for the living to supply the missing part.
