Pitfield in Newtown (ballymoe By.) is a pitfield in Newtown (ballymoe By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies about 40 acres on a gentle NE-facing slope, with shallow pits set in north-south or east-west rows. A standing stone marks the centre of this ordered field.
On a gentle NE-facing slope. An area of about 40 acres (c. 17 ha) contains pits (dims c. 8m x c. 3m; D 0.5m) placed c. 10m apart in N-S or E-W rows which are placed c. 30m apart.
