Fairy forts are a deception. The name suggests magic when the shape is human, but the chamber is a ringfort built by living people who stopped believing they were special. Build a circle, lock the door, and the chamber becomes a cage for the person who refuses to leave it. The fairies are not the tenants. They are the warning.
