Callernish

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Callernish as Clearance Cairn(s) (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Callernish is a Neolithic stone circle and associated cairns located on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, dating to approximately 2500–1500 BCE. It is significant as one of the best-preserved and most architecturally sophisticated Neolithic ceremonial sites in the British Isles.
