Calanais

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Calanais as Cairn (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Calanais is a Neolithic stone circle, dating to approximately 2900–2600 BCE, located on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. It is significant as one of the best-preserved and most astronomically aligned Neolithic monuments in the British Isles.
