An earthen ringfort in Mweevuck, County Kerry, vanished after appearing briefly on an 1841 map. Called Lios a giolla gill, the fort of the white servant, it may have marked a boundary, a home, or a warning. The land took back what it could. What remains is a name, a shape, and the certainty that people once walked inside a circle now gone.

Lissagillagill/Lios a giolla gill (fort of the white servant). Marked on the 1841-42 OS map as a circular enclosure, this site does not appear on the later edition.
