What is recorded here

MOUND (RATH?) in Ballyatwood, County Down, Ireland, is an uncertain mound, possibly a rath, with no recorded period or clear function. Its name hovers between fact and suggestion, as if the land itself is not sure what it remembers. A boundary marker, a burial heap, a child’s playground in some forgotten century: all are possible.
