What is recorded here

Situated on the ridge between Kippure and Tonduff near the source of the River Liffey. A possible mound, faintly visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP, O 67-8). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
A possible Neolithic burial mound; its significance is currently undetermined due to limited visibility and lack of detailed excavation.
