MOUND (destroyed) in Drumeeny

MOUND (destroyed)

What is recorded here

Drumeeny still holds the ghost of a mound that men erased. Whether it marked a burial, a boundary or a child’s climbing hill, the earth forgot its shape before anyone wrote it down. Loss of record and loss of soil are the same violence: both remove the reason the place existed.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MOUND (destroyed). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
