Cave, Outlined — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No cave exists on that land. Outlined, not built, is the right shape of what is known. The claim may be wanting to picture an invisible chamber, but that is not the same as saying the chamber is gone.

In pasture within the SE quadrant of ringfort (LI048-063----) known locally as 'Moorestown fort'. Not depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Annotated ‘Cave’ on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map where it is shown as a circular-shaped opening (diam. c. 3m) in SE quadrant of ringfort. Westropp (1916/17, 23) noted the presence of a Man-made underground passage inside Moorestown fort. No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 or on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
