What is recorded here

Two plain limestone slabs lie hidden beneath the church floor in Moig South, preserving forgotten graves without decoration or date. One measures 124 centimetres long and the other 100, yet neither reveals the name, faith or fate of the person below. They remain buried instruments of memory, waiting for someone to imagine the lives that ended above them.

The following description of this monument is taken from 'The Urban Archaeological Survey of County Limerick' compiled by John Bradley, Andrew Halpin and Heather A. King (Office of Public Works, 1985). "Grave slabs. Date uncertain Two fragmentary limestone slabs are also in the floor of the church. Neither is decorated. Dims: A. L. 124 W. 56-49 D. 15 B.
