What is recorded here

Graveslab in Moig South is a 16th century limestone slab lying flat in the chancel floor, marked by a double cross and quatrefoils. It is not a standing monument but a buried identity, still visible beneath the feet of whoever enters that small church space. The cut lines suggest one life, one faith and one local craft, preserved under ordinary worship.

The following description of this monument is taken from 'The Urban Archaeological Survey of County Limerick' compiled by John Bradley, Andrew Halpin and Heather A. King (Office of Public Works, 1985). "Grave slab. 16th cent. A slightly tapering limestone slab with an incised double cross design of quatrefoils is in the centre of the chancel floor.
