The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Mobarnan is in County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a generally clear, level area of woodland as a 27-metre north-south by 25-metre east-west circular space defined by an 8-metre-wide earthen bank. A 5.8-metre-wide ditch is visible from southwest to southeast but obscured by overgrowth from southeast to southwest, while a drain pierces the southwest bank, truncates the south sector and exits the breached southeast bank. Another ringfort stands about 170 metres to the northeast.

In generally clear, level are of woodland. Circular area (dims. 27m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by earthen bank (overall Wth 8m; Wth at top 2.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.8m). Fosse (overall Wth 5.8m; basal Wth 1.3m; D 0.3m) seen SW-SE and obscured by overgrowth SE-SW. Interior is level; Drain (max. Wth 3m; Dth 0.15m) pierces bank at SW, truncates S-sector and exits breached bank at SE. Ringfort (TS061-110----) is c. 170m to NE. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
