The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Shown on 1908 'OS 6-inch' map as rectangular area enclosed at N and E by fosse and W by embankment (max. dims. c. 55m N-S, 65m E-W). Visible on aerial photograph (GSI S442). Now levelled, but some indications still visible at E. Probably a moated site.
