What is recorded here

Castlelaw is a twentieth-century boundary marker in Midlothian, Scotland. It stands beside older fort remains and active military ranges, marking the edge of a place where history and danger still overlap. The land may hide more than it shows, but the marker still performs its job: drawing a line people must respect.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlelaw as Boundary Marker (20th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
