Rathgrania is a vanished ringfort near Ballintober whose name still carries Gráinne, the fleeing woman from Irish myth. The earthwork may have been a simple farmstead with a hidden stone passage, yet local memory shaped it into a marker of her escape. That pairing of soil and story suggests the place felt large enough, strange enough, or sad enough to keep her name long after its banks faded.
