Excavation is an excavation (miscellaneous) in Mayfield OR Rocketscastle, County Waterford, Ireland. The site features a cist with a single lintel that held a 9th/10th-century AD decorated strap-tag of English type and traces of a possible inhumation burial. Surrounding soil and nearby pits, measuring between 0.24 and 0.5 metres in diameter and 0.13 to 0.24 metres in depth, contained charcoal flecks and calcified animal bone. One of these pits also held a small, crude earthenware vessel resembling a pygmy cup.
