What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen fort thirty-two metres across on a north-northwest slope in County Cork. A one-metre-high bank still stands beside a shallow ditch, although a modern road has cut through its eastern edge. The name suggests the circle was once a marker for direction or destiny rather than a ordinary home. People may have stood inside the ring to read chances in the horizon before leaving the pasture.

In pasture, on NNW-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 32m) defined by earthen bank (H 1.2m); shallow external fosse survives to NW (D 0.35m). Roadway running N-S truncates enclosure on E side.
