Engaged red brick chimney, c.1850, comprising tapered shaft on a square plan with brick in Common (fifth course headers) bond having cut-limestone concave coping. Now disused. Set back from road in grounds shared with Saint Canice's Hospital.
An elegantly-profiled chimney forming a important element contributing to the group and setting values of the Saint Canice's Hospital complex by attesting to the various ancillary works necessary in the operation of a large-scale institution while presenting an appealing landmark in the grounds.
