Cahergortmore

Cahergortmore is a ruined oval cashel in County Galway, its drystone wall vanished at the north but still stretching thirty-one metres east to west beside a larger ringfort. The gap suggests the earth swallowed the boundary or the fairies withdrew before dawn, leaving behind a broken circle instead of a complete trap. Someone may have stood inside that missing arc, watching the sky tilt and forgetting which world they belonged to.
